The Indian government announced new guidelines for international travelers arriving in India amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As per the latest regulations, all travelers will be required to submit a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before their scheduled travel. Additionally, passengers must upload a negative RT-PCR test result on the portal, conducted within 72 hours of the journey. Upon arrival, travelers will undergo thermal screening and those found symptomatic will be required to undergo a mandatory RT-PCR test at the airport. Passengers who test positive will be isolated as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The new guidelines also state that passengers from the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East will have to undergo a self-paid confirmatory molecular test on arrival at the airport. These measures have been put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of passengers and the community at large. The government continues to monitor the situation closely and may update the guidelines as necessary. Travelers are advised to stay informed about the latest requirements and guidelines before planning their travel to India.
